Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a water-soluble, high-molecular-weight organic polymer available in anionic, cationic and non-ionic grades. When dosed into water, its long polymer chains adsorb suspended particles and promote the formation of larger flocs through a bridging mechanism, facilitating solid-liquid separation. PAM is widely used in industrial wastewater treatment and sludge dewatering applications.
